Directions for Use

Chyawanprash is traditionally consumed as a herbal jam, similar to a medicinal preserve.

Best Time to Take: Generally recommended once or twice a day. The most traditional time is in the morning on an empty stomach. If taken twice, the second dose is often taken in the evening, about 30 minutes before dinner or before bedtime.

How to Consume:

Eat the required dosage directly from the spoon.

Follow it with a glass of lukewarm milk (the milk acts as an Anupana or "carrier" to enhance absorption and mitigate the warming effect of some herbs).

If you avoid milk, you can follow it with a glass of lukewarm water.

(Note: It is generally best not to mix it directly into boiling hot milk or liquids).

Recommended Dosage:

Adults: 1 to 2 teaspoons (approximately 10–12 grams) daily, taken once or twice.

Children (Ages 3+): ½ to 1 teaspoon (approximately 5–6 grams) daily, taken once or twice.

Important: Always follow the specific dosage instructions provided on the packaging of your "Shreekar" Chyawanprash, or consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner.

Safety Precautions

1. Dosage and Overconsumption:

Do Not Exceed Recommended Dose: The standard adult dose is typically 1 to 2 teaspoons daily. Excessive consumption may lead to mild side effects such as indigestion, bloating, gas, mild acidity, or loose stools.

Use a Clean Spoon: Always use a clean, dry spoon to dispense the Chyawanprash to maintain product hygiene and shelf life.

2. Specific Health Conditions & Contraindications:

Diabetes: Traditional Chyawanprash contains a high amount of sugar (or honey/jaggery). Individuals with Diabetes or those strictly monitoring blood sugar must consult a physician and should generally use a specifically labeled Sugar-Free or Diabetic Care variant.

Pregnancy and Lactation: Due to the potency of some herbs, pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a qualified healthcare provider or Ayurvedic practitioner before use.

Sensitive Digestion: If you are prone to severe acidity (GERD) or have a sensitive stomach, start with a smaller dose (1/2 teaspoon) and consume it only after a meal, or consult your doctor.

Pre-Existing Conditions: Individuals with severe or chronic health conditions (e.g., high blood pressure, cholesterol, autoimmune disorders) or those taking prescription medication should seek medical advice to rule out potential interactions.

3. Storage and Use:

Allergies: Review the full list of ingredients. If you have known allergies to Amla (Indian Gooseberry) or any other herb listed, do not consume the product.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed after each use.

After Opening: For best quality, consume the product within 45 days of opening the sealed jar.
